Study: Over 3/4 of U.S. aware of widespread government corruption


According to a Gallup poll released Friday, at least 75% of Americans perceive corruption to be widespread in the country’s government.

The results were based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,000 adults aged 15 and older from the United States, and has been conducted yearly between 2007 and 2014.  This strikingly high number puts America on par with countries like Belize (72%), Taiwan (77%) and Mauritius (75%) in not only the mistrust of the people toward government, but in confidence level also.
